  • Health and Wellbeing

Social prescribing – sometimes referred to as community referral – is a means of enabling GPs,

nurses and other health and care professionals to refer people to a range of local, non-clinical services.

Many things affect our health and wellbeing, money worries, relationships and family problems, work etc

The stresses and strains of everyday life can often be managed through having some time out for self care, taking up a hobby, getting out and about for walks in nature, having a weekend break, maybe sharing your troubles with friends.

A lot of the problems we experience in life can't always be fixed by a visit to the doctors or a prescription for medication.

This is where social prescribing is really effective.

Many of the activities, services and trainings we offer are considered excellent for social prescribing, as they provide enormous benefits for health and wellbeing.

    How to get help:

    • The first step can be as simple as meeting us for a cuppa and a chat in front of our wood burning stove, and from there we can discuss what we can offer to help you.
    • Or maybe you are referred to us via a local Community Navigator or other local authority agencies, GP Practice/Community Healthcare Centre.
Whatever the route you take, we are here to provide you with the positive healthy environment you need to get back on track with your wellbeing.
